Faculty of Color Support Network

Engage in team-building activities, listening sessions, and strategic planning to support and create new initiatives for our underrepresented faculty.

The Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion works closely with the Office of Faculty Affairs to support and engage with our Faculty of Color. Our main goal is to provide a space where our faculty can discuss challenges, strengths, and opportunities to improve their experience at Brown SPH. This group provides ideas that allow us to launch new initiatives for all faculty while uplifting our underrepresented faculty members. One of our staple events is our lunches, which have created a more supportive environment and a stronger sense of community for the Faculty of Color.

Creating a safe space allows faculty members to come together, discuss projects, challenges, and lessons learned, and form new connections with other faculty members. During our lunches, we engage in team-building activities, listening sessions, and strategic planning to support and create new initiatives for our underrepresented faculty.

All faculty members are welcome to join us to create a more inclusive and supportive environment.
